I am so glad that the surprise bdae celebration for dear Weird-S1 went well! Though her bdae celebration only lasted that short 15 mins...

Skipping all the whatever-happened-before-we-got-to-the-club details (since Di did a brief one)...Ok...we sang many many many songs! but half the time I think I was hogging onto the mike especially for songs from ABBA which the rest said it was too high...

That reminds me! Since songs were too high for the rest, I did some adjustment to the key of the songs and that got everyone tickled! It was bad hearing Backstreet Boys in chipmunked voice and Akon going even higher in LONELY!!

And we tried all we could to remember dance steps to Let's Get It Started and Ricky Martin's Livin La Vida Loca. Oh well, Az, Shaz and I ended up becoming Sarah's backup dancers instead!

I must say that everyone has a bit of singing talent in them! I really enjoyed singing oldies with SJ - oh no..whats that song again!! (Shaz, you got to help!) and ABBA! Oh yes...And Barbie Girl... Too bad we didn't get to do My Way!

Darns! You should really watch out whenever Sarah has a bit of chocolates!

Hmm...Actually the bdae plan for SJ wasn't so simple. And coincidentally, it had a Korean theme to it. So, Lee Joon Ki was suppose to come. But you know, he has a very tight schedule. And apparantly, he couldn't make it in time for the party. As for the cake...We couldn't find a Korean flavoured one...

So, it was just simple stuff. And a surprise bdae song. Hehe! I didn't realise I was so smart in operating the system and ta-da! The Bdae song came on! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SARAH! Yah...I think she has gotten one of the longest and MOST IN PITCH bdae song ever so far in the bdae parties we had! :)

I was really glad we all had fun! And no way was I the only one singing! Shaz, Az, Di, and SJ showed their singing vocals too! Next time we have to get high and jump on the floor instead of bumping/bumming on the couch!

PS. Since so many people sang, you wouldn't know who brings the rain! :)

Next dinner outing to POPEYES anyone??!! FRIDAY?

shaz was singing all the backstreet boys songs and we even found the malay song we liked called my heart. the girl and guy singing the song were both VERY GOOD LOOKING and are really together in real life.

after an EXTREMELY loud and crazy session of karaoke, it was time to give sarah her presents. girl, i'm glad u liked them! this is how i know she liked her presents:

anyway, i had LOTS of fun and we should do this again soon. it was totally crazy! azzimah's brother was there and i'm sure he can vouch for that. he must be thinking that his sister has really crazy, weird creatures for friends. we spent about as much time screaming with laughter as singing. and we spent a bit more than 2 hours in the room.

ok...It's been a long time since I penned some words here! Hmm..since 27 June!! And it's wear green and go green day! :) How cool is that! (though I am in blue denim skirt and pink tee shirt now. Hehe! Realised that green's the colour today only when I entered the choir room filled with GREEN people!)

Anyway, I first of all would like to thank everyone for the concerns of my family. hmm...the weather is rather cool now and there is little heat generating. Hopefully each day would go on well with cool and sunny weather :)

Darns...there are so many things to blog about that I don't know where to start.

How about starting with TUITION!
Shaz! I really salute you for taking on the task of educating and nurturing people of the future! Kids aren't easy to handle! Esp pri sch kids. I have 2 - p4 and p6. And both are not really doing their work! And they take freaking long to answer me on one qns. And when they do, they realise that actually they know but it's just careless on their part!

I am teaching the pri 4 boy decimals now and really, I have no freaking idea what I am teaching! Just reading off the textbook and making him do the sums in the book. How am I actually suppose to teach?!

but for the pri 6 boy, I am just doing revision with him and marking tonnes of work! This is the time to just do papers and papers and mark and mark! And stupidly, I lost the ans key when I tore it off. So i have to manually work out the sums! well, 60+ days to PSLE!! >.<

Well, it's still fun teaching the kids lah! And its really relieving when you see their test marks increase! It takes time to see results. So shaz, be PATIENT :)

And I am glad I am teaching MATHS! I can't imagine myself teaching chinese (although i am suppose to). It's really getting rusty!

As for 14th july, i think we really need to finalise the programme. I have to go to grandparents place in the evening like be at paya lebar at 6pm. so, maybe we could plan for activities from morning 10am to 5pm?

why don't we walk to changi that food center for lunch? Or maybe we could meet for lunch then go to the club? This way, we could save the trouble of bringing and thinking of what food to bring. hehe! Sorry...I can't think of what food to bring! >.<

afternoon more or less would have to be karaoke and/or bowling! Di, do we have to book anything??? better book before we don't get anything to do at all! Haha! btw, kbox would be very expensive leh! and go there and sing english songs a bit wasted, since the english mtvs are just girls walking around at some street and have totally no link to the songs. hmm...wonder what the club has!

Btw, I am unable to upload the photos about what di wrote on 30 june coz that box is being circulated to many people's hands! First, my box was with me. Then I showed CI and his colleague on Tues. Then I showed my grandparents, auntie and cousins! Then CI borrowed from me on wed to show his other colleagues, students and his sister! (and made me super paiseh!) and then it came back to me on fri where i took it to office to show my colleagues! and last night when i met sj and az for dinner at popeyes, it went to sarah! (how's it doing with you sj?) and soon, it would be back to me on tues! :) haha! it's really a very good gimmick! from far it really looks like "..."

hey ppl...azzimah here...when u read this...first of all...don't scream when u reach towards e end...

as to shaz qn...yes...my tuition kids are equally bad...esp my cousin...i want to kill him half e time...he's in sec 3...and he doesn't know e diff between 'himself' and 'it self'...not to mention he's a super mat who taper his pants..and blast his music loudly in e bus...and yesterday when i was rushing to my tuition he made me wait for him cos he wants to go to shop...which just happens to be at e void deck...like hello...e only similar route we taking is go down e lift..but no..he keep on shouting and asking me to wait...

not to mention my other kids..teaching 5 kids is making me die a slow death too..1 P2, 1 P3, 1P5 and 2 sec 3...

e P3 kid is like super lazy...her brother has more motivation than her...her head is forever on the table 30 min to lesson time..and when i ask him to do corrections for more than 10 qn which was mostly careless mistakes...she gives me make in 1 minute and say she can't do anything...and when i give her vocab exercise...out of 30 qn, she only do 12 qn...her reason is 'ny teacher haven't teach me the meaning of these words'..like as though the teacher is supposed to teach her every single word...haven't she heard of the word...read and find the meanings in the dictionary...or just whack..she lives blanks in her exams...

but her bro is so adorable...everytime i explain he'll be silent for a while just staring at the book..and when i ask him if he's ok..he'll say..'wait...let me understand first...'then he'll frown and think hard...

gd thing the bro is good..if not i give up long ago...i'm underpaid there...200 bucks for 2 kids twice a week, 2hrs a session...good thing i have the heart to be nice...as usual...hahaha...since the family is not v well off...

my P5 malay kid give me heart attack all e time...he doesn't know simple words..and his compo is always one sentence a paragraph...when i remind him to break up his super long sentences in e next compo guess wat he did...instead of joining 4-5 'selepas itu(after that)' in one sentence..he join 2-3 'selepas itu in one sentence'..so now he got 2 sentences per paragraph...

my pasir ris sec 3 girl...i like her alot...v motivated...she'll tell wat topic she'll want me to go thru..then she'll ask me her qn from revision...not to mention we keep on laughing coz we take turns to make careless mistakes...(but she makes more than me)...but then the fun factor is mainly because i teach her only maths..haha...me e math fanatic...haha...

coming to e dun scream part...

i may not be able to make it on 14 july...i need to see her(pasir ris girl) time table and mine first..so far we are scheduled to have tuition on saturdays from 4 to 530..but i dunno what's her schedule like next wk...maybe we can stretch e thing a bit longer...

as for ubin...my mum won't let me go...she super paranoid..my sis had to beg her to go there for her sch studies...if not sch stuidies...i doubt she can go...so i doubt i can go...

hey girls! ok shaz, just to let u noe, those are the 'perks' of being a tuition teacher k. *winks*

anyway, with regards to the outing on the 14th of july, here's wat i propose. please let me noe if u can't or don't agree to this plan:

morning: we go biking at ubin. if not possible we can play badminton or bowling or smth.

lunch: pot luck. everyone bring something for all of us to eat. we can sit at the chairs at the void deck n gaze at the sea whilst stuffing food into our mouths. (we were there the last time remb? where everyone was trying to smear shaz's cake on each other's faces)

afternoon: sports and singing. if we haven't played anyth yet we can do so now. e.g. bowling or badminton. then we can further exercise our vocal cords wif some karaoke at the club.

i dunno wat the song selection is like but i don't think u can expect any songs tt came out like, this year. i hope they at least have backstreet boys. but hey, some of the oldies are nice, ok. n they do have more english songs than k box. rach, for your bday next yr, we can go kbox k? n make shaz sing all the chinese songs until she goes crazy. :-P

then it shd be just abt time to end the day. yup so this is my suggestion for the day's plan!

wazzup wazzup!!shaz here..haha...have been missing out on the weirdz gatherings so yah gonna update u on my life first k...

was at ntu seasports camp...we did wakeboarding, sailing , jet ski n banana boat...damn fun...n i gt tanner....even though i wore sunblock...n my mum again asked "eh u darker le" when she saw me after i gt back from camp....haiz...

currently working admin, which is so bloody boring n making my butt even bigger....haha...i really wonder how these ppl endure it for like years n years le....

teching 3 tuitions....yes 3....2 P4s n 1 P3 n 1P6....

the p6 is a girl....she is ok....maybe just need to be less blur..haha...she is like way better than my previous p6 kid who everything also dun noe....at least she gt dreams...haha

2 p4 kids...one is like damn outspoken, talk alot n quite smart-alec n like to retort back to me...always complaining...n HE IS A GUY LOH!!!reminds me of rach....haha...but at least rach nt as bad as him....he complains why he need to keep finding the meaning for the malay words when i could just tell him...he complains abt why the question is so difficult,,,he whines to his mother he is thirsty n could she take water for him...im like rolling my eyes inside n wondering he is so gonna die when he goes army....haha

the other p4 kid is damn quiet sia!!!is like i think he likes to hear my sweet voice so much when he talks its so soft that i have to try hard to hear wat he say...haha...he like so demure can....(can demure be used for boys?...haha)...he is so do nt haf the usual little boys roughness n loudness...haha...but he does my homework so he is quite ok....

the p3 kid is like a little devil in a boy body can....azzimah if u see this kid i think u can comfirmed when he grows up he is a chop, stamp, comfirm a MAT!!!....first he is lazy....when his mum is nt in front of him then he starts doing everything else except the work....second he likes to give me this stupid faces on the pretext he is thinking hard when i think he dun even bother to think...and thirdly when i lose my temper wif him today n says "if u dun want to study then might as well u go off now!" he actully does that!!!!!waaaaaaaahhhhh...i feel like strangling him...like those ppl strangle chicken until they die k......aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhh......if i could strangle him he be dead liao!!!!!

so yah...sorri for ranting abt the tuition kids cos im like so bloody frustrated...haha....azzimah n rach r ur tuition kids these horrible??haha

anyway cant wait to meet up wif u weirdos!!haha...i miss talking to ppl my age cos i have been talking to only older ppl (the ppl at work, the tuition kids' mums, my parents n grandpa) or younger ppl (the tuition kids n my siblings)....i miss talking to ppl on my frequency!!!hahaha
