Thanks lots girls for supporting and watching the video!

And thanks to Az for that whole insightful thought of the video. But apparantly, I don't think we thought through so much when piecing the video together!!

This project is 20% of our grade for Management and Organisation. The requirements of this project is to create a video and upload to Youtube with a time limit of 9mins. Any longer will deduct 10% of the grade.

There are 4 themes/topics to choose from:
1)Leading Change.
2)Taking a Stand
3)What matters most
4) :I dont remember:

There needs to have evidences (thus, LKY and the articles). We lacked of time and skills to do up the video. But considering we all have no background knowledge of editing videos, I think its a good attempt!

Yup, the video is about Taking a Stand and how Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor (duh). And shows the integrity that leaders should take in keeping a company going.

And from these themes, choose a bedtime story to adapt from and create a new video.
It's for MANAGERS.

Thus, this project is Bedtime stories for leaders (BTSL).

You go to youtube and type in BTSL, you would get all the videos from this course. It includes last year's videos too! There are some good ones which I would recommend in time to come.

But will share with you why their graphics and videos can be so good when i meet you guys.

yay!! I finally figured out how to blog here again ^^ can't help it i am a xanga user...lol
anyways...your video is pretty nice rach!!

I am heading to NZ next year...early Feburary in attempt to do law (I am still shocked) well more importantly...I DON'T WANT TO BE ALONE!! *sobs

oh well in any case I have you peeps in Singapore so that helps a great deal!

Tentatively, coz air tickets are super expensive(return flights cost S$1000+)...I'll probably be back in Singapore only during the longer summer holidays (means approximately dec 2008 -feb 2009) please remember that NZ is in the southern hemisphere...lol ^^

ok...i think i'm in a good position to comment on ur video since i also taking e same module this sem...is the topic on leadership, power and influence right...? and a bit on communication and power distance...? did i get e right topic...haven't been reading my books..haha...

i love e part on LKY...nothing new...but seriously, it adds humour to the whole video and made me..(and i'm sure other pro-singapore ppl)...want to know more abt what will happen...and LKY provide a rather gd eg of effective leadership...maybe can show or elaborate a bit on e b4 and after for sg...how LKY was successful...some foreigners may not know what was so wonderful abt sg...(some dun even know sg is not a part of China or philippines)...

Also, it is gd that u cap the main pts of ur presentation...integrity and so on...but when u showing e stats and stuff(when robin ho talking to the cleaner), the words may be hard to read frm e back of e class...esp when using a projection screen and the first few words...e long ones...disappear very fast...some ppl may have to read it more than once to understand it(for those less proficient in eng) while others may be distracted for a while just to find it gone e nxt minute...

as a whole, it's good cos e idea is clearly brought across...v straightforward and easy to understand...lets see if i got it right...(meaning easy to understand)...there is a high power distance in the office, with the lower people being afraid of the voicing out their opinions to the authority...so u aiming at organization culture??? and also there is a lack of motivation..workers juza want to do their work and not do more, like reporting discrepancies to the authority(other than robin ho)..but this is not really ur main pt...frm e vid...i get e idea that ur main pt is the power distance and the leadership(coercive power and legitimate power as ur main focus) and effective leadership..is it right...if half right means it's gd enuf...considering i dunno what ur qn is all abt...

it's for presentation...e creative component of e rubric is it...but maybe can add sthg more to presentation...cos showing of videos and skit is v common...maybe u can make e whole presentation as a story(skit)...put all ur powerpoint slides into a play...haha...i'm juz crapping...frm wat i observe frm my presentations lah...youtube and skit is v normal...one of my seminar grp did e whole presentation into an act and one as a musical and one as video and play...we really enjoyed and paid attention to these presentation...and e tutor gave gd comments on them...too many grp doing skit and videos that it came out as nothing new...

need anything...juz call or msg me...i shld be quite free after wed(31 oct)...

juz finished my stats test by e way...shaz, thanks for ur "moral" support... in short, it sux...didn't do e first and last qn...which adds to abt 6-8 marks i think...and u noe me....i haven't done a math test without careless mistakes...so conclusion...i'll fail...

good luck for all ur upcoming presentations and tests and exams...(one more presentation for me..persevere...)...hahah....
